Well I'm Andrew Smiler's brother and am horrified to see his name being used in this way.

From what I can see here it looks like the scammers are quoting and besmirching the identities of a wide range of professional people in an effort to make their scams look legitimate.

Its a new twist to an old theme... I still remember receiving a 'paper' letter in the post back in the 1980's asking for help to get funds which had been embezzled from the Nigerian government out of the country. But at least in those days the postage stamps could be saved and donated to charity.

There was an article in the newspaper about one man who responded to their letter and even went to Lagos to meet these people. Thankfully he survived his trip, despite the uninvited visit to his hotel room whilst wielding long bladed knives.

Yup just got the one from Mrs. Janet Brown. I responded with if you have that kind of money why then are you giveing up so easily and not seaking every kind of treatment for cancer that is available. I wish this was true then my husband could afford Stem Cell Therapy and maybe walk again. These people are really sick.
